A full commercial re-roofing project completed for the Dollarama retail location on Marine Drive. This was a flat/low-slope roof requiring a complete torch-on membrane installation. Our team carried out the project with strict safety procedures and coordination with store operations to prevent disruption to daily business. The new roofing system was designed to provide long-term waterproofing and durability against heavy coastal weather conditions.
Scope of Work
• Careful removal and disposal of the existing flat roofing system, ensuring the site remains clean and safe throughout the process
• Thorough inspection of the roof substrate, with replacement of any damaged or deteriorated plywood/sheathing to restore structural integrity
• Professional installation of a durable 2-ply torch-on membrane system with heat-welded seams for superior waterproofing performance
• Installation of new metal flashing at all critical areas including edges, walls, and roof penetrations to prevent water ingress
• Proper integration of roof drains and vent flashings into the membrane system to ensure efficient water flow and sealing
• Strict adherence to WorkSafeBC-compliant open-flame procedures, maintaining high safety standards during torch-on application
• Final detailed inspection to confirm complete watertightness, followed by full site cleanup and debris removal
