When Do You Need It?
Deck or sheathing work is typically needed when there are soft or spongy spots on the roof, visible sagging, water staining on the underside of the deck from a past leak, or when rot or damage is discovered during a re-roof tear-off.
What's Involved
This requires full or partial sheathing replacement before any new roofing goes down - roofing installed over a compromised deck won't perform properly no matter what material is used on top.
